The tournament is organized by Fernbank Science Center for our county's elementary students and would be impossible without student volunteers like you. Usually, you'll work with 1 or 2 other people to run three one-hour event sessions. Prior to the Olympiad, you will receive an email with your event assignment and directions for setting up the room and running the event. There is no need for prior practice.
Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation Clean and sort eyeglasses Ongoing, Mondays through Fridays 16 Attend orientation prior to shift, able to lift at least up to 30 lbs. Email or Signup We are always in need of volunteers to come clean & sort eyeglasses, read the prescription for glasses and help in our patient clinic in an administrative capacity. The Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation provides vision services through education, detection, prevention, and treatment. Through collaborative partnerships, we enable greater independence and increased quality of life for Georgians in financial need. Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation partners with a statewide network of optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide vision screenings, eye exams, eyeglasses and eye surgeries to over 7,000 Georgia residents each year.
